Dr Paul Wakim

Dr. Paul Wakim is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon with a remarkable career spanning several decades. Born on August 31, 1945, in Lebanon, he began his education at the Good Shepherd High School, graduating in 1964. He continued his studies at the International College/American University of Beirut (AUB) and later at Fresno State University, where he completed his pre-med education.

Dr. Wakim earned his Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri, in 1972. He completed his internship at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital and his orthopedic residency at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Furthering his expertise, he trained in microvascular reimplantation at Duke University and pediatric orthopedics at St. Louis Shriners Hospital.

With extensive experience in private orthopedic surgery, Dr. Wakim practiced in Wichita, Kansas, for eight years before moving to Corpus Christi, Texas, where he served as the Head of the Department of Medical Education and maintained a private practice for another eight years. He later joined Pacifica Orthopedics in Orange County, California.

Dr. Wakim's contributions to the medical field include his roles on the State of California Osteopathic Medical Board and as Vice President of the State of California Industrial Medical Council, each for nine years. He also served as Associate Medical Director of the State of California Department of Industrial Relations Medical Unit for two years.

Married to Connie Joanne Coles Wakim since 1968, Dr. Wakim is a proud father of three and grandfather to five. His dedication to both his family and his profession highlights his commitment to excellence and compassionate care in orthopedic surgery.
